Question / Help Add subtitles to live broadcast

Is there a possibility to add subtitles to the live broadcast in OBS? The ideal way to do it, would be opening a network socket that allows people to pass the live subtitles through the network.

There's an experimental caption feature that you can enable in OBS (Tools menu), but it's dependent on your streaming service to support it, and the voice recognition is shoddy at best.

It uses the windows speech-to-text functionality, so it might not be available on your system.

Hi, I enabled tools / title(speech-to-text) function, set audio source to microphone, then speech to microphone, the volume meter checked, but subtitles doesn't appear.
I turned Microsoft speech to text on, listening on the top of desktop, speech, then nothing happened.
How to use the function?

Subtitles will be automatically sent to the service, if it supports it. You will not see them overlaid in your preview, if that was your expectation. You can check the log file (Help -> Log Files -> View Current Log) to validate that the captions are being generated.

Sorry for posting in a dead thread ._.

Shoddy is an understatement especially if you're not natively speaking english I wouldn't recommend it. It shows on your active/past livestream section in the player as a button for every user in the bottom right section of labeled "CC" if you click it you get captions shown ontop of the stream.

I do like to have the option to have caption on top of my actual stream don't get me wrong so the user can decide when he needs captions but the recognition over Windows Speech-to-text is just not gonna work out if it was on web captioner/ Twitch subtitles or Twitch Captions level I could look over it but for now it's defintly ain't a useful feature yet.
