Question / Help Add NVENC OBS-Studio Windows 7

New release, as for me, could be more like 0.13.5 neither 0.14.0 (small improvements, bug fixes). The major visible improvement is snapping to edges option and cropping in preview by mouse move. There is new file naming option with customization for recording and deinterlacing for media/capture devices. New command line options for custom startup.

  • As for me, snapping lack gird alignment. You cannot align sources in row or by column without intermediate helper object (or you need to snap to border, and then move group of sources - not easy task if you add one source to already aligned group).
  • New cropping not adjustable pixel by pixel - if it could automatically add Crop to Filters... After new release, you simply would have two separate cropping filters - one with precise control (in filters), another - with easy adjustment (in preview).
From all improvements, I can say, that Deinterlacing is most significant (and rare in use). Maybe its implementation and small bugfixes could up next version to #14 (from developer's point of view).

So, don't think that we able to see QuickSync in the next release (which is almost ready).

Edit: Gol D. Ace corrected me. ^_^

This is not true.
Both methods allow pixel perfect adjustment.

It might be even the case that we get NVENC through ffmpeg.
For QSV I haven't heard anything about that it will not be released in 0.14.0

Thank you! I missed this setting. Maybe because all my attention was taken by cloning sources, which now can have different cropping.

Question about new cropping feature of the future Studio release:

Gol D. Ace, can you confirm that 'easy cropping' in preview (while holding ALT key) intended to work for Bounding Box Type: No bounds only? As I see, by Left, Right, Top, Bottom edit fields of the Scene Item Transform dialog window it adjustable for all bounding box types, in relative coordinates, before any transformations take place.

Not sure about that.
Will ask Jim.

EDIT:

[01:52:21] <Jim-> I couldn't get it in right away
[01:52:30] <Jim-> he can use the bounding box after it's cropped though
