Add NDI Output to Output tab in Settings

Hiya,

I hope this is not an already reported question, I tried to find something similar but couldn't it.

I use NDI to send my output to my Streaming PC, but I also would like to be able to record 2k resolution on my Streaming PC seamlessly. Unfortunately, my 3090 doesn't seem to be enough to stream 2k resolution over NDI to the Streaming PC without having a struggle with the games I play.

A potential solution would be to send NDI 1080p to the Streaming PC and then record from the gaming PC at 2k resolution, which is more than capable of doing, unfortunately, this option is not available in OBS since you can't choose the resolution used for the NDI output, it takes whatever resolution the output is.

It would be great if the NDI resolution could be possible to changed, just like we can change the Streaming or Recording resolution in the menu so that this combination could be achieved.

Thanks for your time, happy to dig into the code if someone can guide me to drive this change.

I don't think OBS will ever have native NDI, because of the licensing. It will always be a plugin. You could ask in the plugin's discussion thread though.
