Add an index number to identically named cameras/mics/cap cards/etc

On the Macintosh version of obs, before system 11 OBS relied on the USB names being different because Mac OSX would always puts an index number after identically named items.

Internally does OBS keep track of different cameras that are invisible to the average viewer and user and if so could you leave an external index indicating note for what the difference between the same camera or microphone could be differentiated as.

It sounds like apple is not going to change because according to them they say most people don't stream using two or more cameras especially two or more cameras that are identical, or at least if they are the camera manufacturer will let you rename them.

But I have sq-11s which are generic plug-and-plays. There's no manufacturer setup sites I know of for sq11s to differentiate between them. And apple seems to say that they're not going to change their operating system just to accommodate me. (The person I think it's more common than just me). Either people who use generic plug and plays have to lobby Apple to add a counting system for identically named things or else at OBS is going to have to do what should have been Apple's dirty work.

On both feedback.apple.com and community.apple.com , that issue seem to get traction from anyone else.

Unfortunately I can't use any other camera because I don't know of any cameras I can place 2 inches apart from each other eyeball to eyeball and make a stereo camera out of and still be able to differentiate them in OBS without being able to differentiate them in Mac OS 13.
