Add 5.1 support to Mic/Aux devices

I was super excited to see OBS supporting 5.1 surround sound in the last update. Much to my dismay though i realized my capcard, SC-512N1-L/DVI, only supports 2 channel audio. I bought it years ago and completely forgot..... my bad :(

Anyways i had the idea to just send a 5.1 stream over my network with VBAN in voicemeeter, which works great, except the Mic/AUX devices don't support 5.1, only the desktop devices do. I assume this is because you're using the windows driver to tell OBS what mode it's in, and since there's no "Configure Speakers" option on recording devices it only pulls 2 channel. Voicemeeter does output multi channel audio on it's virtual outputs though, which are only selectable under OBS's mic/aux section.

I'm not sure if this feature request is possible, but can we get 5.1 support on the Mix/Aux devices in OBS?

As you pointed out, this is controlled by windows. Nothing can be done in obs except changing audio system (use portaudio, jack, asio ...)
But contrary to what you say, there is the capability to set the number of channels even for recording devices.
This is a capture of the What U Hear device for a Creative CA0132 chip which supports up to 6 channels. This much depends on the driver. Virtual Audio Cable shows up to 8 channels but doesn't work properly last I checked (filed a bug with its developer who tried unsuccessfully to fix).
