Hello folks,
i am brand-new into OBS and I hope someone can help me here, even though it might be no specific OBS problem. I switched to OBS to have an easy way to record guitar/singing videos to exchange them with my online teacher and bandmates. First I used Screenium wich was expensive and did not work well, in between I simply recorded with QuickTime an matched it with audio from Garage Band in daVinci and than I discovered that OBS is perfect for my case, because when it work, you hit the button and a perfect matched clip magically appears :-D ... if there weren't ...
A dry Mono ( maybe Direct Monitoring ) signal, wich only OBS can hear :-D?
I am on an MacMini M1 on Sonoma 14.0. Newest Version of OBS. As Audio Source I use my Scarlett 4i4 USB 3rdGen. The Scarlett is used as input for an active RODE mic on Phantom Power as well. Guitar ist coming from an PodGo via USB.
What I hear while recording in my Headphones and on the Monitors is the DAW (Garage Band) Loopback, processed via GarageBand. With the mixing Software Focusrite Control I have turned off the Active Monitoring, so that I don't hear the dry signal from the mic anymore in my headphones or monitors.
Now the strange thing: OBS is still "hearing" the mic as a mono signal. And it is clear and loud and is been added to the recordings.
What I tried with my "knowledge":
- Tested with DAW off.
- Newest Firmware for Focusrite
- Tested every thinkable mixing or Routing setup in Focusrite Control.
- Tested the other input jack for the mic
- panned the Volumes down for Monitor an Headphone
- Googled like a modda......ga :-D
I hope it is just a small setting thing for witch I am not experienced enough and some of you can help with the right tip.
Thanks in advance
