Activate/Deactivate for Video Capture Devices

I noticed on a Windows laptop that OBS has an activate and deactivate button for video capture device. On my Mac, I can’t see those. Is it a Windows-only feature? If so, is there a plugin for Mac for that? It is a good feature not to make the camera always on.

I also have the same question. I was a former Windows user and used OBS as well. Linux doesn't seem to have an activate/deactivate button.
