Accidentally pressed on stop recording

Hi so I just started using obs and one day while recording one my online lessons(I record them Cus I was really tired) I forgot to stop recording after it and it stayed on for two outs while my laptop was in sleep mode. When I realised I pressed on stop recording but as another lesson was starting I panicked and pressed on the stop recording button and saw that the file only recorded one minute out of the two hour lesson. I record using mkv instead of mp4 as I heard that it’s better to use it.

MKV is better to use, yes.
No recording would have occurred while in Sleep Mode. The system is essentially 'off' and no processing is being performed. If it WENT to sleep while recording, the recording from before the system went to sleep may still be there, and the file size may simply be being misreported; you'll need to watch it back to check.
If you started and then immediately stopped it again, only the recording of that brief time will have been made, and there will be no way to recover anything further.
