Question / Help a.rtmp.youtube.com/live2 is offline...

Dear experts,

I am in Germany and I trying YouTube live streaming with OBS.

Though I did proper set up in OBS (put streamkey from https://www.youtube.com/live_dashboard), it does not stream, giving:

I am able to do Google Hangouts on Air from this computer, and also the OBS-Facebook live streaming works. Any help please ?

I will ask on that. This is wifi eduroam at German research institution. Strange thing is that it work for facebook (rtmp protocol)...

No, it does not need to be 3. It should be something between 2 and 4 (inclusive). YouTube even explicitly recommends 2, and sets 4 as the upper limit.

It's possible that it's not blocked just by protocol, but by a combination of factors. With so many failures to so many services, three possible scenarios come to mind:

1. You have security software blocking traffic.
2. Your network provider is managing/blocking traffic.
3. You input incorrect settings for every single service that you tried.

Check your security software. You may even try disabling it as a test to see if it is affecting things.

Check with your network provider. You said you're already doing this, so maybe they'll provide some good information.

Check your configuration settings. Provide log files for YouTube where it doesn't work and Facebook where it does work.

In the future, please also post full log files. Truncating them just hides details that help us analyze problems.

Hi, the reason was security on the traffic, as they wrote "...Security acknowledged to open RTMP-Protocol (Port 1935 TCP) outgoing for Guest-Network (WLAN). "

Now the streaming works on WLAN.
