A little help with obs recording and davinci resolve

Hi! How are you? Fine I hope!
I need some advice. I'm having problems with my obs recordings and davinci resolve.
I searched a lot on youtube tutoriais for the best recording settings, and I think that everything is setted right, but when I import my video to davinci, after the render, I can note a lot of flashs of media offline, it's very annoying.

I tryed with various containers, mkv, mp4, mov, ts...

Anyone faced this problem and solved?

This is probably a DaVincy issue, rather than an OBS issue.

Suggestions:
  1. Use MKV. It's more editor friendly.
  2. Rate Control: CBR
  3. Bitrate: 2500 Kbps
  4. Make sure that the machine running OBS, and the one Running DaVinci both have the NVIDIDA NVENC codecs. If it's the same machine, then this is not an issue. (Also do a search on NVENC and see how many people recommend against it...)
If you are only seeing the "media not availble" flashes after rendering, the problem may be a resource problem. IE: not enough memory, disk too slow, graphic card not keeping up... etc. To get past that, you'd have to figure out what settings your machine will actually support (lower resolution? Lower fame rate? etc....)

Why on earth would you suggest CBR @ 2500kbps for recording? That will produce garbage. NVENC is also the best encoder and should almost always be used if available.

Because it works for me. Good quality recordings, they work with DaVinci.

NVENC is a religious discussion....

But also: Please feel free to provide better recommendations for OP's problem.

A better recommendation is to run the Auto-configuration Wizard (tools menu) and apply the settings it gives. Plain and simple as this. Do NOT use advanced output mode. Never use CBR for recording but do use CQP for better quality.
Davinci Resolve should read and play normally any recording done this way in OBS, unless you're having other issues that can't be considered due to the fact there's no log file provided.

What part on a proven and tested several times around the world can be considered "religious".

Hi, i'm using cpq already, but the problem persists

my pc is a intel i7 6th gen, gtx 1080, 16GB ram DDR4, 1tb SSD m2

I always have to convert the video again with handbrake, and it is very incovenient

I already tryed MKV, same result, the same with mov

This logs should be reviewed by Davinci support.
If you need to remux the videos then there's another issue.

Still no log file from OBS. And you keep using advanced output instead of simple output.
Recommended to use MKV container as format. you can remux it into mp4 within OBS if needed.

As I said, I already tryed with mkv, same result

I sent the log to davinci resolve forum, any answer...

What is the problem with advanced mode? How can it cause the problem?

I got the same result with simple mode

Here's OBS Log:

This is an issue:
18:23:44.526: Kaspersky Internet Security: enabled (AV)
18:23:44.527: Kaspersky Internet Security: enabled (FW)
It's a little too intrusive. Good AV but problematic for recording/streaming purposes.

Some plugins can cause issues too.
Turn off HAGS.
And there's no output session so you can't tell there's the same issue.

Run the Auto-configuration Wizard (tools menu) telling it the main purpose is recording. Once it finish apply the settings it gives. Please DON'T change it. Restart OBS. Yes do restart OBS.
Now test it as is for no less than 30 seconds doing everything you normally do in one single session. Again, don't change anything. Keep it in simple mode. Once you finish testing it upload the logfile and copy the URL here.

One single session means you start recording, do as you do, stops recording. Do NOT start and stop several times.
