A filter is seemingly going in and out that causes face smoothing and I want it turned off.

This is so strange to me. I am using a Sony a6000 with various lenses to record my videos through OBS (as well as live streaming) and after a few weeks off, I come back and notice that my face looks overly smooth (like those awful snap chat filters), but the effect goes in and out.

I thought perhaps it was a focusing thing that looked like a filter but it doesn't appear to be that. My Sony a6000 does have a face smoothing feature but that is turned off so that's also not it. I have tried changing the lighting in my room, but that is also not the source. I cannot for the life of me figure out what I changed from a few weeks ago to now in my set up that would cause this because it hasn't done this before.

Any sort of help would in figuring this out would be appreciated. I do NOT like it and it's very distracting and just want to try to get rid of this effect.

I did search this forum first but if there is already an answer on another thread please let me know.

Thanks!
