Question / Help 720p 60fps pixelated

So i'm running a 720p stream with 60fps, which i find a lot better than 30 fps,

Anyway. My stream looks quite pixelated when in fast paced games,

here's a highlight of my ace, but look at the pixelation.

I have it set to 2500kbs, is it because of that? or should i set it to 3500 to get better results,

I got 98mb up and 99 down.

Thanks! :)

Yes i'm streaming from the same pc as i play from, my cpu is i5-6600, the newest skylake on the market of i5's.
Anway, i tried putting bandwitch to 3000kbs and it still was a little pixelated. I don't know why it does it, would you watch a stream looking like mine did?

To be honest 3500 is the minimum bitrate for 720p 60fps and even then it can be pixelated. I'm not sure if I posted it for you before but there is an interesting article here about this topic:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Twitch/wiki/guides/bitrate_resolutions_quality

Its also possible that you are having some encoding issues, can you post a log which covers a streaming session, search in the log for the phrase "streaming stop" to make sure you upload the correct one. Details here:

Last thing how did your video get on YouTube, did you export from Twitch?

to get nice quality on 720p60 you would need 5500-6000 bitrate which is not available on twich. maybe you can consider moving to youtube live - they are allowing just 6k for 720p60.
check my outstanding calculator and included reddit article for more info
make sure you are using high profile of encoder
and always attach your log with stream/recording, it makes it easier for forum junkies like me

@Adrian Schofield you are too fast :P

Give me a second and i'll find the log,

so a 720p 30fps would be better quality overall,

They say that 2500kbs 720p 30fps is the best setting for non partnered, yet i feel that it's still kinda pixelated. I'm not going to stream on youtube. Twitch is my stand :P.

I just want a (clear stream) without too much pixelation, and yes i exported it from twitch over to youtube.

Anyway,

Here's my github - log file from today

It is on high, hmm weird it didn't say that. Thanks though. I just don't know what might cause the pixelation, i might jump back to 720p 30fps

you get pixelation because data for encoder is too low to keep good bits per pixel ratio
you can fill 3500 cap with 720p30 no problem, with 3340 video +160 audio

I'm just really a big critic xD

What do you guys think about that video i posted above? like is it really that bad that i make it out to be or? would you enjoy a stream with that quality?

yea that was maybe a bit low but Ive seen worse, you will be fine with summary 3500 now. you wont squeeze anything more out of it anyway
