Question / Help 64bit OBS Studio needs more and more memory while recording

Hi there.

I've got a massive problem with OBS Studio (64bit) since about 2 weeks. When I try to record games OBS Studio starts at about 250MB of my 16GB memory. Sometimes it works fine, but most time OBS Studio needs more and more memory until my PC crashes because to much memory is in use.

This is what the last recording attempt looks like in task manager, if I try to record Tales of Zestiria:

And this is the log of the latest recording attempt: https://gist.github.com/anonymous/fdd28ca2810471bd23f528bea4881f5f

First I thought, that it is a problem with my hardware, but every other program works fine and with memtest I can't find any issues. I don't know what to do, because in some games I do have no choice from using OBS Studio, because it has a great video quality, including my facecam is as easy as in no other program and the games run completely smooth while recording.

I'd also tried older version of OBS Studio but I have the same problem with every version :(
Maybe someone could help me? :(

Settings - output
Indistinguishable recording quality
flv format
software low cpu use encoder.

It does NOT save to mp4 by default.

Tried it with .flv but it don't work in my programm either.

So does anyone have an idea why my memory gets fuller and fuller?
I would like to keep my options, because there were no problems a month ago... :(

Try opening the FLV files in avidemux (for editing) or vlc (for simple playback testing) instead of your program.

I need Movie Studio, because of the possibilty to encode it as frameserver and render it with MeGUI.

Thank you but I need no new programs, because everything worked fine until this month with my existing programs.
I need a fix for my problem :)

And I'm trying to suggest to you better settings and a better workflow rather than settings that were likely broken by something outside of OBS.

But you don't know why I won't use another program than MeGUI :)
For my it's simply impossible to use another programm for rendering etc because with MeGUI my PC is much faster than with other programs and I have about 7 videos a day :)

The problem is with OBS Studio not something outside, because Fraps or Mirillis Action have no problems. But with Fraps there's no simple possibility to record with a webcam and Mirillis Action has to bad video quality in my opinion :(

I've read about the memory problem in another forum, but sadly there was no solution so I thought about trying in the official OBS forum.

Your own settings are trying to write to your disk at over 140mbyte/sec. That means that your raw videos are somewhere in the range of 1.5gbit combined bitrate between audio and video. If your system is falling behind writing on that, it forces OBS to buffer it until the drive can catch up. If the drive never catches up, you will continue to get this behavior.

Change your workflow or change your recording settings so that your system can keep up.

Hm...now THIS could be the solution...I will try what happens if I do a little test recording to my SSD.
I've tested my hard drive and it only writes 85mb/s That's much less speed than in my last test... O.o

I'm using this one: http://www.mindfactory.de/product_i...X-64MB-3-5Zoll--8-9cm--SATA-6Gb-s_806169.html

Sorry just found a german shop :/

Thank you!!
This is the reason why I can't record with OBS Studio anymore >.<

I tried to use my SSD for a little test recording and everything works fine.
Tales of Zestiria needs about 180mb/s :/

Looks like I have to buy a 500GB SSD, because a HDD shouldn't be fast enough I guess T.T
