60HZ VS 144HZ HELP!!!

Hey, I have a problem. When I open OBS on my 60hz monitor and go on youtube on my 144hz monitor, the screen on my 144hz monitor begins to flicker, when I play the video. Sometimes more, sometimes less. I don't need to stream or record. I happens always.

When I channge.. OBS on 144hz and Youtube on 60hz.. it works!

Do you guys have any ideas?

Update... I turned the hardware acceleration OFF!!! And it solved the problem.. but why?

Do you NEED 144Hz? Is your reaction time really that short? (just a handful of ms)
What if you set both monitors to 60Hz?

First, I use chrome. Yes I need it for gaming… when I set both to 60hz, it works fine.. but why? In other browsers it works fine as well without changing the 144 to 60. And if i turn off hardware acceleration in chrome, the problem is solved! I would only be interested why?
