50 Minute Recording Only Saved 2 Minutes

Hey all, my girlfriend recorded a long interview for school using OBS and when it was time to stop recording, it just said "stopping recording" for the next 40-ish minutes. (We're up to about an hour and thirty minutes total). Eventually we just decided to close the window since it seemed like everything was still in the .mkv file, just being actively recorded on. (We could open the file and listen while it was stopping). However, only about 2 minutes were saved and she can't exactly do the interview again. What are our options here?

It seems like there's a lot more in the .mkv file, and it's strange that I can't jump to a certain point on the timeline. If you look on the rightmost side of the line, it doesn't show how long it is, which is super confusing to me. Both the .mkv and .mp4 files are around the same size, but the .mp4 file is only 2 minutes long.

Is there a way to recover the rest of the audio from the interview? It was only a microphone source.

Also I don't know what you need as far as logs, there seem to be a lot for this date despite only recording once. I'll upload them all for this date.

Got help in the OBS discord server, we think there was an issue with the NVENC encoder failing to load and resorting to my AMD integrated graphics. .mkv unrecoverable :(
