5-7 second delay with Cam4 streaming

First time user of OBS . Running version 27.1.3 on Win10 x64 .

I set up my Logitech C922 webcam.

Log file is here :

I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling, using the auto-configuration wizard per https://www.cam4.com/training/broadcasting/open-broadcaster-software-obs, to no avail.
Tried both Firefox and Chrome browsers - same issue. In Firefox, external encoder is the only way to stream.
Tried both software encoder (as recommended) and hardware (NVENC, on my GTX 960), but problem was the same in both cases.

My internet connection is 1.4 Gbps down / 40 Mbps up. This is what speedtest.net shows. PC is wired with a 10 Gbps NIC. So definitely the network shouldn't be the problem. My PC is pretty beefy also - 5820k overclocked with 32GB of RAM, 7TB of SSD.

The only non-standard thing about it is the ECHO Audiofire 12 Firewire Audio interface, but I don't see how that sohuld come into play when streaming as it's used only for output, not for input. The webcam's mic is configured as audio input device in OBS. The PC does have 3 monitors (two of them 4K, one HD) but again I don't see how this should matter for streaming.

If I use Chrome, CAM4 offers the "Stream 2.0" option for direct webcam access. It works without issue and no log.
But my browser of choice is Firefox, not Chrome, and in Firefox, only external encoder is available with CAM4, so I'd like to get OBS to work without lag.
