Hi everybody,

I'd like to record some videos in 4K (not streams, only recording). When I set the output to 4K,I get drop frames in my recording. Any idea ? Thanks you so much...

Thank you for your answers. The source is my camera connected via Camlink. It's 4K transmission. There are 2 alternatives for Apple encoders, which one is better you think ?

Apple Hardware encoding. But x264 could give you better quality.

Apple hardware encoding. Use MKV then remux to mp4 after the recording.

for a test maybe try
the setting in the pictures. If it drops frames increase the CRF from 10 to 15 then 20
