26.0.0 to 26.0.1 Update

I saw there was an update to 26.0.0 and I cannot seem to find it anywhere. The Check for Update button in OBS does not produce any effect.

Should I simply install the 26.0.1 over the current installation or will I lose all of my scenes and settings?

I am sorry to ask this question. I am very new to OBS but loving it.

I am not happy to hear that gotomeeting and Teams are having problems with the virtual cam, but our wonderful developers will fix that soon for sure.

You will never lose scenes and settings with updates. You can even uninstall OBS and install OBS again later, and your settings are still there. OBS stores its settings in %APPDATA%\obs-studio, which is in the Windows user profile, and is not touched with updates or reinstalls.

How funny. In the time it took me to install 26.0.1, it has a 26.0.2 update...Let's see if the Update Now works this time. Thanks again. It's nice to have someone to talk with about this stuff. The Update Now button worked this time. Yeah!
