25fps stream from 50fps source

just a question how obs handles this... capture card gets 1080p50 input, obs video is set to 25fps. what happens > is there rescaling, frame dropping etc ?

There should be no rescaling unless your output resolution is different from your base resolution or if you have rescale output enabled. I believe it will just display every other frame.

Frame dropping is a network thing.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm coming into OBS Studio via a Blackmagic MiniRecorder which handles 1080p50 but there's no option to accept 1080p50 in OBS. Can anyone point me in the right direction here? Thanks in advance!

That *should* be listed in the FPS menu for the Blackmagic Device properties in OBS.
