25.0.8 and 25.0.7 (tried reverting) crashing when playing VLC Media

Hi guys,
I'm finding OBS is crashing midway through VLC video replay content. This happened to me Saturday night during a broadcast and after 3 restarts of the software, the stream kicked me off. I reverted to a hold screen and it was stable after that. Now, doing some other testing for another project and I'm noticing that the same thing is happening during video playback. Doesn't matter if I'm streaming or just playing back. Tried various bitrates, various output scaling, various processing etc. but it doesn't seem to work. Project just loads up, starts to slow, starts to pause, then crashes.

I tried reverting to 25.0.6 after reading another user fixed his crash issues with going back to that, but that wasn't available so I reverted to 25.0.7 and the problem is persisting.

Any thoughts?

other people (including me) have also reported crashing problems with vlc source. we've all switched back to media source. no idea when this will be fixed.

Yo también estoy teniendo problemas con el contenido VCL, se pasma el contenido multimedia y la aplicación se cierra inesperadamente.... he probado comprimiendo el contenido usando otros formatos, otra resolución y se satura... agradecería la ayuda...

Wow, I feel stupid for having overlooked this option! But not only does it seem to work, but it appears to be WAY less laggy too. I never wanted to use VLC in the first place... not even sure why I was! Haha Thanks for this!
