i want to use OBS to do a 24/7 livestream on youtube, the source is my surveillance camera. OBS is not necessarily designed for this, but it works
I have following problems, which sometimes occur after 12 -18 hours and with a restart of the program will be less. I am therefore looking for solutions to close OBS at a specific time and restart the stream. The only options I can think of are Windows Taskkill and then somehow restarting the stream/OBS via a batch file, if that is possible.
-OBS somehow loses the connection to the camera stream. I want to close OBS, it crashes. The cause is unclear, but it correlates with the runtime of OBS. A regular restart helps here
-I also once had a case where the connection to YouTube was no longer there, although OBS was supposedly still streaming live. Restarting helped here too
What I don't have a solution for is detecting whether the stream has crashed. The most I can do here is program something using image recognition so that the time code in the video is somehow read and I get an email when time stops.
