EDIT: PROBLEM SOLVED, ty "DEDRICK". I had one box checked under tab "Output" Which was "Rescale". Thank you so much.

I am using a 34" curved Ultrawide monitor to stream with. (21:9)
  1. I open up OBS, Set the canvas to 1920 x 1080. (16:9)
  2. I start a new Game capture, and transform it to fit to screen.
  3. At this point I have black bars ontop and bottom, so I slide the game capture flush with the top of the canvas, and fill the bottom black space with my webcam, overlay and chat.
  4. I set my out put to 1280x720. (16:9)
  5. Viewers come to my stream and there are still black bars.
So If I am canvasing in 16:9, and outputting to 16:9 aspect ratio, why the hell is twitch still putting black bars as if it's 21:9?

Are the black bars on the LEFT and RIGHT when watching on Twitch?
If yes, it's because you have a 21:9 monitor, the black space is because it's putting a 16:9 image in a 21:9 player.

A 21:9 image on a 16:9 montior will letter box on the top and bottom, you already know this.
A 16:9 image on the 21:9 monitor will letterbox the left and right, but only for you

Yeah, You just fixed this for me. Going to delete the thread I guess. I just checked past videos and it was fine until I was literally checking it today
