Hey there, first timer to streaming. I'm a DJ using one camera/mic for now.
As noted in the title, I'm trying to stream to Twitch with my 2017 27" 5K Retina iMac with Radeon Pro 570 4GB graphics card. I'm running a Panasonic GH4 as my camera, utilizing it's mini HDMI out to a CamLink 4K to USB-C on the back of my iMac.
Everything works flawlessly with the audio on all fronts, but for the life of me I can't get *any* video to come into OBS, so it's not just my GH4, including the built-in webcam, etc.
OBS recognizes the Cam Link 4K and lists it as such in the available sources after I press the + button and choose add video source/capture, but when I choose the Cam Link 4K as my source the screen just stays Black. Same goes for literally any video input I put into the iMac.
I have tried every single combination I can think of in the GH4, as well. And to be clear, I am a professional filmmaker/videographer and have used this GH4 (among other cameras within the Lumix line) for 10+ years now, so I just think it's unlikely it's a user error with this??
I know the rules call for a Log or Error Log to be entered upon solution request, but i figured bc my question is, "is the Radeon Pro 570 4GB enough to run video inputs into OBS for streaming" then a Log file won't be needed.
If anyone wanting to help me is wondering, I have looked as well as I can on Google to try and fine the answer to this question, and for the life of me I can't find it. I'm normally really good with tech and, like I said, I've gotten all the audio set up flawlessly and it sounds amazing (going through a Scarlett 4i4) but the video just won't work. I've also scoured YouTube like crazy to try and find the solution as well.
If anyone could help me out I'd really appreciate it. If you need more specs on the iMac just lmk.
