I have used OBS for quite some time but I want to try and get better frames and lower CPU usage. So I decided to Have my main rig play the game and have it go to my laptop to do the recording. Has anyone tried this using the Hauppauge HD PVR 60? Trying to wrap my head around it. I know I have to move to OBS Studio to do it.

Update:
So Plugged the HD PVR 60 to my laptop as well as Hook the HDMI from my Gaming Rig to the HD PVR 60. When I use Hauppauges software I see my Gaming Rigs desktop but when I add the Capture Device to OBS I just get a black Screen. I have tried switching Nvidia Global Setting to use the Nvidia GPU and still nothing.

I am getting a black screen with game capture, it was working fine. I am running as administrator. It worked a couple of times this morning, then quit.. Log is uploaded. I'm using Win 10.

Is there 2 copies of OBS-MP in your task manager?

My OBS-MP needs 2 clicks of the shortcut before it will show the window. But then the phantom 1st copy has dibs on my capture devices.

Closing both instances solves the issue.
