Question / Help 2 pc NDI Mic and game audio issue

Im using a dual pc streaming set up using the ndi codec. Im able to get both the audio and video to stream from the gaming pc to the streaming pc without issue, however I need to be able to adjust the audio of the game and mic separately as they are both coming through the same source.

For instance when I stream my game is much louder than my mic making it difficult for people to hear me. I need to know how to adjust the volume of each so I can still hear my game at full volume while my stream can hear my voice but not be drowned out by the game.

Hopefully that makes sense Im happy to post pictures or provide more info as needed.

Any help is greatly appreciated :D

Im using windows

Multiple ways to do this.

If you've got your mic plugged into the gaming PC and are sending the feed to the streaming PC via NDI, you can either adjust it on the local instance of OBS before sending it via NDI,

Or you can add a Dedicated NDI Output filter to your microphone source and take your Mic audio OFF of track 1 in the Mixer, so your stream PC now has two separate sources (game audio/video and microphone) and you can adjust them separately.

In either case, you also have the option of applying a Compression filter to your game audio, either on the game PC or on the Stream PC, and selecting your microphone as a Sidechain source. Doing this will dynamically reduce the volume of your game audio when you speak.
