Hey,

I am setting up to start live streaming live events, the problem i am running into is when i am using my presentation software it is hare to change scenes in obs on the same computer while I am running our presentation software. Our presentation software is on a mac and i am trying to run obs on a windows computer. Is there a way to use the output from our mac as a live stream input for obs? Our presentation software supports Syphon.

OBS-NDI plugin.

You can use OBS running on one machine to capture and send the resulting stream over your LAN to another instance of OBS, where you can add the NDI source from the first instance of OBS as a source.

I do this between versions of OBS on MacOS Sierra/High Sierra, Ubuntu Linux 17.10, and Windows 10 on a regular basis.

Note: The NDI plugin streams the audio on Track 1 only, so set your mixer settings accordingly.

Narcogen, I've scoured the interwebs and can literally only find this forum post as a reference... I had the same thought to cat5e connect a MacBook Air to an HP Envy both running NDI Source Out OBS on the Mac in to OBS NDI Source In on the PC...

I can see the Air (both OBS & OBS Preview) as a source name, but despite trying every one of the properties settings, I can't actually get a video signal. Do you know of anything I may be overlooking? System-wise etc on either end?

Btw, I do have NDI successfully running on both machines using other I/Os, Resolume, iPhone, PTZ cams, etc. Known good cable, known good network connection, etc. Just flummoxed at the moment by seeing the source name but no signal. Thanks in advance, Narcogen, any help is appreciated.
