I have a 5 channel Mackie mixer with a USB connection and a simple Behringer Mic/Guitar device with a USB connection. When I connect the Behringer, confirm Windows Audio show 2 channels for mic, and configure OBS, I'm able to separate L/R channels and set them both to mono per some of the posts in this forum. However, when I attempt to do the same thing with the Mackie mixer, it only uses one of the channels. I have confirmed that all settings are the same for both devices. My question: Is it possible that the Mackie Mixer which is old about 4 years only, will not support 2 channels thru USB even though I can configure the USB Codec Audio in Windows to 2 channels with DVD quality? Or am I missing something else about this that I should look for? If I look at the Mackie user manual it says "The built in USB interface allows for some powerful and flexible routing . It is a 2x2 inteface allowing you to record 2 streams from the mixer, or to input stereo playback from a computer and route it to nearly any output or pair of outputs on the mixer. However it also says "For ProFX8v2 USB return only goes to main L/R via the USB input level control".
