Windows 10 Pro (plan to upgrade to 11)
OBS Studio
My streaming and recording is at 1920x1080.
My video camcorder and Elgato HD60S is 1920x1080.
I usually capture the entire 1920x1080 screen.
My 1920x1080 laptop and 1920x1080 external monitor need replacement.
I am considering buying a 3840x2160 laptop (with a fast NVIDIA card) and 3840x2160 27 inch external monitor.
It is unclear the best way to continue doing 1920x1080 streaming and recording.
From the Windows 10 display setting, do I set both the 3840x2160 laptop and external monitor to 1920x1080 (using appropriate Scale and Layout settings for 1920x1080)?
Will the picture look good or will it be fuzzy since the screens are not in native mode?
I do not have access to a 3840x2160 laptop and monitor to experiment with so I need feedback and a workflow as to how to make this work properly - if possible at 1920x1080. If not possible, maybe I should not buy a 3840x2160 screen.
If you have experience doing this, thanks in advance for your feedback.
