Hey guys,

After long research...i've found out I really cannot use an El Gato HD60 pro to record my game because i'm using a 1440p monitor...what a pain in the butt. I could be wrong but that's what I've seen thus far...

What I did find out is that I can project my screen from my gaming PC into my streaming PC. The problem is where is my sound? Are there any things I can do? When I project does it only send the visual to the el gato? Where does the sound go? I mean...its an hdmi cable after all doesn't audio get sent? Can't windows send the audio to my headphones and to the HDMI cable?

Secondary question: Gaming PC: I7 7700k GTX 1080 ftw Nice 1tb solid state m.2 H100i liquid cooler mobo etc.... Asus ROG Swift PG278Q 27-Inch WQHD G-SYNC LED Gaming Monitor

Streaming PC: 1080p ASUS VG248QE 24" Full HD 1920x1080 144Hz 1ms HDMI Gaming Monitor GTX 780 I7 3770k regular solid state drive

Could I purchase the El Gato 4k/60 expensive streaming card and would it be compatable with my streaming PC? According to the online info about the El gato 4k, my processor and graphics card don't meet the requirements...but the thing is i'm just wanting to record at 720 or 1080 60fps while I game with my PC and Gaming monitor...

You ran into the issue I had. Same thing 34" ultra wide monitor 2650x1080 resolution. The cheapest capture card that supports it that I have found is the Elgato 4k60 Pro. $350+ on amazon. Fixed all my resolution issues. I was forced to run at 1920x1080 until I got this card. Dual PC setup as well. Hope this helps.

For the sound you have to either get a physical mixer or download a free Digital Mixer. (I recommend Voice Meeter Banana). This allows you to send your voice, as well as sounds through one channel through the HDMI to your second PC as well as your headphones. (Can be a lot to explain, look up a guide)

As for your streaming PC requirements, no clue that would be a gamble... might want to contact Elgato or ask around on the forums to see if it will allow it to work or not. Also Elgato 4k60 Pro only works on windows 10. I had to upgrade my Streaming PC from 7 to 10. My streaming PC is my old gaming PC... AMD 8-Core bulldozer processor, 12gb ram, ATI radeon 7990 GPU.

Hope this helps. ;)
