I hope this problem has an easy fix but I cannot find an answer, I think, because I don't know what question to ask so thought if I told you the issue you might be able to suggest what to do or failing that tell me what I should be searching to fix this.
I have a ROG monitor which is 1440P and has a 144hz refresh rate. I also have an AverMedia Live Gamer Extreme 2 that I have to review. The card has a 4k passthrough but only has HDMI outputs, my monitor only has Display port inputs, if I use an adapter I lose the 144hz refresh rates and if I try and mirror or clone the monitor through the card I can only get a 1080P display on my monitor.
I was wondering if there was a way to use OBS to send a Stream to the capture card? I thought I could play in 1440P at 144hz and then send a signal to the card that could handle the recording and convert the signal from 1440P to 1080P and everything would be right in the world.
I do not know what I am asking OBS to do so cannot find an answer in google that is relevant. Any help is very appreciated.
