1080P Video Device Capture

Hello,

I've been using OBS on a 2019 16" MBP for streaming high school hockey games. My camera is a Canon 90D and I have been using the Canon Webcam Utility as my video display capture source. It took me a while to realize my streams were limited to 720 due the utility itself. I purchased an Elgato Cam Link 4K in hopes of streaming 1080P. OBS recognizes the Cam Link as a video display capture source, but my options are still either 720 or High. High only displays 2/3 of my camera video on both the preview or recorded video.

Both Canvas and Scaled are also set to 1080 under Settings/Video...

Are my expectations incorrect or am I doing something wrong?

Thank you in advance!

Hello! Not sure if this will work for you, but it worked for me. When setting up my virtual camera, I had to turn off the "use presets" tab and then select a custom resolution. After that make sure you are set to "simple FPS values" and select the desired frame rate (in my case it is 30). Hopefully this helps.
