Question / Help 1050 TI streaming Rocket League with extreme lag in stream

Hello,
Whenever I try to record/stream on my computer (specs below), I get an incredible amount of lag in the footage, while​
my game (Rocket League) is completely fine. This doesn't seem normal, saying that I know people with 980s that can stream 60 fps with no lag.

Specs:
CPU: intel i5 (Not sure which number, but overclockable)
GPU: GTX 1050 TI
COOLER: intel stock
RAM: 8 gb
