Question / Help 100% GPU Usage when tabbing out of game

Hey guys,
When i stream fortnite everything works fine. My 1080ti is on a 67% GPU usage 12-20% of it is because of obs and the stream looks good. The only Problem i got is when i tab out to my Game and go to my desktop for example my GPU goes to 100% for 2 seconds and my game crash.
I have set the GPU to High Quality in stream and i also tryed to go from process priority to Normal back instead of High. Nothing worked i still get a 100% Gpu load when tabbing.

Are you using windows 10? In task manager, which app is using gpu when you tab out? The same game or something else. I think some games don't let up significant gpu resources even when tabbed out. For me I notice this mostly with pubg.
Other things might come in to play such as yoru display mode (fullscreen vs fullscreen windowed etc).

Although with a 1080ti, I wouldn't think you could max out unless you are at 4k settings. Are you on the latest drivers?
