Bug Report 0.16.6 crashes system / 0.16.5 drops Qsync frames

Hey guys,

I've been streaming for a short while now (some weeks) and I have encountered a lot of challenges. That is mostly because of reasons on my side which I will explain further down.

The main problem for me posting here is the following:

If I use OBS Studio 0.16.5 the quicksync encoder will start to drop frames pretty soon after starting the stream (one minute or so) and doesn't recover. So reading the changelog for 0.16.6 I noticed that problem was fixed! So I instantly updated OBS on both systems. However after that, both systems started crashing (not just OBS, everything...hard reset necessary and all). This gives me the following catch 22:

- 0.16.5 runs stable, but forces me to use hardware NVENC encoding....
- 0.16.6 allows me to run quicksync, but crashes....

The reason for not using software encoding are these: I use a non standaard resolution for gaming (3440x1440) and my pc is somewhat old (i5-3750K). The current cpu doenst really like gaming and encoding at the same time. I haven't been able to find a capture card capable of capturing 21:9 3440x1440 resolution. So I stream from my gaming pc at 20000 kb/s to a i7 (latest generation) laptop over a direct ethernet connection and the second system (the laptop) encodes at 3000 kb/s to Twitch...

What do you guys need from me to investigate this constant crashing of version 0.16.6. It happens on both my systems and I heard a friend mention it to after updating to the latest version.
