“Replay Cue” System in OBS to Manage Instant Clips and Multi-Camera Replays

I’d like to propose a new feature (or plugin) called a “Replay Cue System”, inspired by how vMix Replay works — but designed natively for OBS Studio.
This idea targets sports broadcasts and live productions that require instant replays and multiple camera angles without leaving OBS.

Goal​

To allow users to create, organize, and play back replays manually or automatically, either as:

• Instant clips (recorded through Replay Buffer or Source Record), or
• Saved clips located in a specific folder (e.g., /Replays).

Additionally, it should support switching between multiple camera angles to show the same event from different perspectives.

Proposed Functionality​

1. Initial setup:
   • Choose a folder where OBS saves or detects recorded replay clips.
   • The system indexes clips automatically (or via a refresh button).
   • Optional folder or tag mapping by camera (e.g., “Cam1”, “Cam2”, “Cam3”).
2. Replay Cue Panel:
   • Displays a list of all available clips with details (name, duration, timestamp, camera).
   • Lets users select and play any clip into a dedicated “Replay” scene.
   • Includes options for “Auto Play Next” and custom hotkeys for each clip or camera.
   • Can trigger a stinger transition or fade effect when launching a replay.
3. Multi-angle replay:
   • Supports the same event from multiple camera sources, allowing operators to quickly select which angle to show — similar to vMix Replay behavior.
   • Perfect for 2–4 camera setups in live sports or shows.

Example Use Case​

During a football or basketball broadcast:

• The operator presses a hotkey.
• OBS saves the last 10 seconds from each camera (e.g., three angles).
• The clips appear instantly in the Replay Cue panel.
• The operator picks one or cycles between them using transitions.
• Clips can later be deleted, saved, or exported for social media.

Benefits

• Provides a professional, broadcast-level replay workflow directly in OBS.
• Reduces the need for third-party software like vMix or Roland P-20HD.
• Enables multi-camera instant replays and clip management from a single interface.
• Ideal for sports, e-sports, or live event production.
• Could easily integrate with Stream Decks or control panels.

This feature would be a game-changer for anyone using OBS in live sports or event production.
Would this be possible as an official feature or community plugin?
