There are lots of ways to do that. The details vary widely, depending on what you're actually doing, how you think of it, etc. It's not a plug-and-play thing. You're very much building your own technical rig from scratch, using a set of tools that you cobble together. Some of those tools come from OBS, others come from elsewhere.

It often seems like the best way to get help on the internet is to describe what you're about to do or have already done, as if you're telling someone else how to do it, and see what problems people find. Asking how to start often results in, "not enough information, no response," or a recommendation for a paid thing with very limited functionality, when you don't know enough yet to know that.

Make up something, give it your best effort, and let the experts poke holes in it. Even if it can't possibly work, it shows us your thought process, and we can use that.

That's one way to do it, among many. One of the problems (ALL of them have problems; it's just a matter of which problems are okay), is that it has you replace the meeting that you have now, with one that you set up here, on VDO.Ninja. If you can't replace a meeting or conference that already exists, you can't use this method.

The way that I've done it is to use the existing thing, whatever it is, and make it produce on the screen what I want OBS to capture, however that's done. Look at the documentation for that tool, or fumble around until you find it. Once you have on-screen what you want to capture, use OBS's Desktop capture or Window capture, and point it to that screen or window.
  • If you use the Desktop capture, it'll catch whatever's on that screen. So if you switch apps, it'll capture the different app, and when you switch back, it'll follow that too.
    • Make sure you don't have anything sensitive that might come up by accident! ANYTHING on that screen, intentional or not, is captured.
  • If you use the Window capture, it's locked to that window, even if it's behind something else. So if you switch apps, it does *not* follow that switch, and continues to capture the meeting.
    • Just don't minimize it. The app stops drawing when it's minimized, so OBS hangs on the last frame that it did draw. When you un-minimize it, it starts drawing again, so OBS jumps to that and keeps going; you've just lost what happened in between, replaced by a still image of what it was when you minimized it.
Both of these captures are silent. You need to catch the audio separately. Go to Settings -> Audio, and set the first Desktop and first Mic/Aux to your speakers and mic. Don't leave them on Default! Disable the rest of them. Then go to the Advanced Audio Properties in OBS, and make sure that you're NOT monitoring anything! ("Monitor Off", I think is what you want) That monitor is useful in a lot of cases, but if you don't know anything, it can also create a feedback loop that sounds either weird or terrible, neither of which is what you want. So just turn it off until you know more.
