vlc video source youtube

When I try and play a Youtube video as a VLC Video Source, it works sometimes (10% of the time?) but the rest of the time it's super blurry. It looks like Youtube at 140P being scaled up (in my case to 720P). When it works, it looks great. Running latest version 22.0.1. Not sure if the problem...
