recording format

Hello ! I have a quick question about the OBS recording format. I would like to know if is possible to recording in 1440p while playing in 1080p. This question may seem a bit silly : I have a 1080p screen but I can playing and recording in 1440p, this is a problem? Thanks you for helping (PS ...
