grayscale

Hi-- I'm not a very savvy tech person. I'm a new Youtube (or trying to be) and my videos are seeming to record in color and then displaying in a sort of weird grayscale-ish washed out way. I've been reading in the forum and I've changed setting but to no avail. I'm using a Toshiba laptop...
