Understanding OBS Studio log

Understanding OBS Studio log

This is a short description of OBS log and the info contained in each section.
I´m not a programmer, just an OBS enthusiast. So, if any OBS developer or advanced user can correct my mistakes, we can make a complete guide to help auto diagnose of problems with OBS Studio (For example, "Profiler results" section is still a black box for me)

I have mixed several logs, so timestamps are not exactly correlative

Info in each section depends on your own scenary: system, OS, OBS Configuration, devices in use...

Also, when you change settings in OBS, log registers those changes. Some examples included.

So, here it is the guide:

Note: first numer, 33.3333 ms means OBS set to 30 FPS [1000/30] This is the maximum time to complete composing and encoding a frame. Any frame above this number means a lag frame. In this case, 95.2576% where good frames, the rest are lagged frames
Composing frame
11:59:03.247: ┣tick_sources: min=0.002 ms, median=0.178 ms, max=157.429 ms, 99th percentile=1.146 ms
This is the time used to collect all sources and generate a frame
Enconding frame
11:59:03.247: ┣render_displays: min=0.001 ms, median=0.931 ms, max=91.371 ms, 99th percentile=43.43 ms
This is the time needed to encode a frame. In this case: 43.43 ms > 33.3333 [1000/43.43 = 23 FPS] This is a clear case of lagging frames

11:59:03.247: ┗output_frame: min=1.023 ms, median=2.285 ms, max=13.091 ms, 99th percentile=4.757 ms
Time to upload a frame to streaming server. (Worst case 13.091 ms correspond qith 1000/13.091 = 76 FPS.So, no networ problems here)
