Bug Report text do not update automatically

i use snip and itunes for displaying the current song information

but the text do not update automatically when the .txt was updated
 
Are you sure that snip updates the file? Try opening it with Notepad. Maybe the problem is Snip and iTunes rather than OBS?
 
i sure
every time i stop preview stream and start again (or switch scenes), the text would be updated
or i open the .txt file and press ctrl+s, the text would be updated

p.s. there is no problem when i use this feature on xsplit
 
Actually I just checked, and it works fine. I am going to take an educated guess here the problem is that the file is not being saved in UTF-8.. I'll try to get it to use the local windows encoding and convert the text with that encoding if there is no UTF-8 byte marker.

actually the text would be update sometimes, but almost didn't work well

for example :
i am listening to “What The Hell” ― Avril Lavigne
and OBS show “What The Hell” ― Avril Lavigne
but after the song is finished or i pressed next track
OBS still showing “What The Hell” ― Avril Lavigne
sometimes, it would update, i couldn't understand :(
 
I would have to be given some sort of example that can be replicated on my end. Currently, when used as intended, it updates correctly. The only issue so far is encoding.

the text at the bottom finally update for once
but the other two text didn't updated

i sure that those *.txt file updated every time when i clicked next track,
even i paused the song, the text inside Snip.txt would be "No track playing"
they are in UTF-8, i just do not know what's wrong
please help me to find out the solutions :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:

is there any possibility you could give me the exact text is uses when it fails to update?
 
it fails to update almost all the time,
even there are only english / chinese or japanese.
it just update the text randomly
 
Does it happen only with this one file? Maybe try using some different program for outputting currently played song to a text file.
 
There are several issues in 0.466a regarding file change detection, they should all be resolved in the next version.
