Question / Help Why "window capture" does not record drop down menus ?

Hello,
I can't find a way to record a window capture (of a desktop program) that records the drop down menus. It records the window, the mouse mouvements, but not the menus.
I use the standard "window capture" source.

Is this a known bug or a misconfiguration from my part ?

Ok, I have installed the studio version. But the result is worse : there are no more options in "Window capture" mode, to have the menu bar captured (only the inside of the window is recorded), there are no more settings to capture a sub region of a window as was the case so easily in the previous classic version. Or all the settings have moved but where ??
In any case I remain with the issue that drop down menus are not captured. How can I do that ?

What specifically are you trying to window capture?

If it's a program like photoshop or another video/image editor, those usually only work with Display Capture due to how they render their menus and subwindows. Sub-region select can be replicated by holding alt+dragging the red box around your source to crop it down.
