Question / Help Why i can't do 720p/1080p 60FPS with this configuration..

Hi guys,


My current PC configuration :

- CPU : i7 4790k
- GPU : GTX 1080
- RAM : 16Gb
- SSD for Windows and HDD for games

I've been streaming for 4 months with the NVENC H.264 in 1080p30

Now I want a better quality of live with the 60 FPS but when I configure OBS with the x264 encoder and I put the output in 720p or 1080p 60FPS, OBS tells me that the processor is overheating while I am in veryfast .

Can someone help me so that I can finally stream in 720p or 1080p 60FPS with the x264 encoder?

Well just continue with NVENC. You won't get such a much better image quality with x264. Give NVENC 4 b-frames and off you got without choking your cpu.
