Question / Help Why can't I get a good quality stream in OBS but I can in Nvidia Share?

I've played w/ a few settings in OBS to try and get a quality stream going on Twitch with out success in OBS. However w/ the new NVIDIA Share (beta) 3.0.2.196 I can max out my settings (1080p, 60 FPS, Biterate set to 9) and it's a very clear stream and runs great. I had 1 short pause during the stream and other then that it was fine. For the life of me I cannot figure out why I cannot get these results in OBS.

Specs:
cpu - 4770k (not o/c)
mobo - ASUS Maximus Hero VI
gpu - 980TI (not o/c)
Windows 10 (up to date)

FWIW games and OS is installed on SSD's.
Internet connection is wired and speeds are 370 Mbps up and down.

Here is a logs @ 2500 biterate, I've also tried 3500. Doesn't matter what I change it just either looks horrible (quality) or it lags like crazy. I have tried Nvidia and x264 encoding. However when I switch between these two options I did not change anything else. Please advise if I need to.

I would stick with Nvidia Share since it works but I want more bells and whistles which I cannot add to Share like I can with OBS.

More and more people are switching to OBS Studio. "Support" is volunteers answering only those questions we have answers for only when we have time and feel like it.

Anyways,

19:17:12: Total frames encoded: 7499, total frames duplicated: 952 (12.70%)
19:17:12: Number of frames skipped due to encoder lag: 131 (1.75%)
19:17:12: Total frames rendered: 7345, number of late frames: 70 (0.95%) (it's okay for some frames to be late)

The biggest thing you can do is switch back to Very Fast preset. And update to OBS Classic .658b, which has a performance fix for Game Capture on Windows 10. Microsoft keeps breaking things with their patches.

Thank you for the help. So should I switch over to OBS Studio? I will try your other suggestion in the mean time.

As long as it has the features you need, then your probably should. The development and attention (and therefore the support) is mostly there now.

I actually downloaded it right after posting. Went in and setup a scene. Left pretty much every setting at default and tested a stream. Worked perfect! Night and day difference! Glad I switched and thanks for the recomendation
