What do you have to do to fix it? Does your streaming PC automatically reboot implying you had some kind of blue screen or do you have to hard reset.

Hello my friend. PC literally freezes. Cannot ctrl+shift+esc....Obviously the PC still runs, except the software does not. I tried a hard reset but sometimes need to do it twice. W'd need to double check but i had to turn the PC off sometimes.

Note, I got a blue screen like three times.Only when streaming. Not sure which w'd be the logs. I could figure it out if needed.

Also,to give more background, a while ago, I had more scenes--videos--on OBS, which made my CPU usage go to the 90s
making my PC crash before, so I had to keep only one looping to avoid this. The streaming PC has a 4790K.
Only one video*

My RAM runs around 50-60 %. It is a 16 gb but PC only reads 8 gb. Probably because it is on the 2nd and 4th dim. Unsure

PC temperature is around 40-50 F. I have the Corsair H100I.I feel is a bit high still.

I also keep my browser Chrome close because makes the CPU go up too high depending on how many tabs are open, which I find odd. With the browser, it adds 10-20 % more CPU usage.
i am 187XiaoMoxige on twitch. You might remember me as you helped me fixed another issue in the past.
Sorry. I am on the west coast,so is hard to watch you often. <3

So with the browser close, my CPU runs around 20 %

Hey dude how's it going :-) If you are getting a blue screen that's the first thing I'd want to look at. Can you go through your System Event log and see if you can find an entry with the details, also have a look in c:\windows and see if there is a memory.dmp file

roger that mate. will have it up asap i wake up again :P you changed your profile a bit gg looks better
i need to link you on my stream for all your help.

OK that means the PC blue screened, does the create date tie in with the problem? If you can upload it somewhere I'll take a look but I'll say now that OBS on it's own can't actually cause a blue screen, it's more likely to be drivers or hardware :-(

The date is before,.from February, but I did streamed during that time,so it cd be possible..My ram is not located in the 1-3 dimm slot.I need to check that, but doubt that would be the issue.
Trying to figure out how to upload that file

Ok well if it doesn't correspond with the failure then it's probably not related. Remind me what happens again does the complete machine freeze and you have to do a hard reset?

Not really relevant to the problem but Blue Screens are caused by software running in the kernel of windows, that code includes all drivers which interface with hardware and so a problem between software and hardware caused by a hardware fault can cause a blue screen.

Just as an example I had a self built PC a while back and the DIMMs I used weren't the right timings for the motherboard. As I put more load on the machine it would in time blue screen. Replacing the DIMMs with ones that had the correct timing fixed the issue no more blue screens. Totally a hardware fault and no software was changed.

Hope that helps

1- Yes, I do a hard reset or sometimes i I had to hard turn off the pc.
2-Maybe a tip, my ram is 16 gb but it reads as 8 gb in the current dimms. Gonna swap them later today.
Still searching the easiest way to upload the dmp file without sending it to a forum or using a software I don't know about it.

Zipping the .DMP file should compress it down quite well and then stick it on google drive or drop box or One drive.

And sounds like checking the memory dimms might be an idea. As the machine seems to be hung at a hardware level I'm guessing that it is indeed some kind of hardware problem.

About to upload file.
RAM is in A1 B1 DIMMs

I bought a 16 gb RAM unless it was a 8 gb insed a 16 gb package. Unsure.Gotta investigate

Edit: Seems the A2 B2 are the suggested DIMMs

So changed them.

In System Information, RAM shows as 16 gb now, so is a good thing

On BIOS,I am using the high performance option adding name later*
I have opened plenty windows taps on browser,Chrome (an issue that seemed to be given me high CPU usage)and 4 videos on OBS and CPU usage is way lower.
So CPU is 35-40 C overall.
CPU usage is 7-15 % top depending.
Fans are running all low speed.
RAM is 20-25% overall.

Dude I don't think that's the right link as when I click it I just go to my home page. In your Dropbox click share on the right of the file and then share that link.

That crash was in this driver, nothing else involved at all, AVerPL33_x64.sys details from the dump file make the driver look pretty old is there something more recent?

Nothing newer. Have not looked into Event Viewer because I am not sure exactly what to look into. Gonna test stream tmrw night and see what happens. Much better to have something fresh.

I have a signal issue sometimes. Should I edit the main post or new thread.
