Spontaneously Occurring Hotkeys Switching Scenes

This morning I turned on OBS for the first time in a few months to encounter an inexplicable bug. My "A" and "D" keys have been spontaneously assigned to switch scenes in OBS since the last time I ran it. This does not however appear in the hotkey settings so there is nothing to remove. To be clear, no, I did not assign these hotkeys at any point.

This is a spontaneously occurring problem that just showed up this morning. I play WASD shooters onstream so it's absolutely 110% impossible that this could've gone unnoticed during previous streams. When I first launched OBS I was using the previous version I had been using. After fiddling with this for a few minutes I updated to see if that would help anything (it didn't).

I've done some digging through Google and experimentation/investigation in OBS.

Turning off hotkeys entirely prevents this from happening, but I use the hotkeys regularly and this is simply not a solution.

I found that turning on studio mode and turning it back off solves the problem temporarily and is a solution I can live with for now--but I really would like to know what is the actual answer to this dilemma? What is causing this and why?

I got the answer. The "Scenes" window was active, meaning that the keys will change scenes. I have scenes starting with "A" and "D." So when I click and unclick "Studio Mode" it takes me off the scenes window. I knew it was something like this.
