Bug Report Random choppy audio/music stutter when not using "Desktop Audio"

Hey all,

Following on from my old audio stutter thread:

Having run several streams from a few minutes to 14 hours long, my solution of running Spotify via "Audio Router" has not eliminated my random choppy / stuttering audio problem. It seems this issue is directly related to multiple audio channels within OBS?

The issue:

When either running a looped MP3 file or running Spotify as a separate audio channel, music will randomly begin stuttering at a certain point during the stream.

Sometimes the stuttering will stop for a while and then start again.
Sometimes the stuttering will continue until the stream ends.

This stuttering never occurs for the "Desktop Audio" channel. This is seen in the 8h long VoD below. All the actual streamed matches (Desktop Audio only) have perfect audio.

Examples:

3hr - https://www.twitch.tv/d3fplays/v/106612052 - Stream is fine at 2:10:00. Steam stutters from 2:27:33. Here's the log.
8hr - https://www.twitch.tv/hndlive/v/106603060 - Stream is fine at 1:16:00. Stream stutters from 1:18:00. Here's the log.

What I know from testing:
  1. MP3's on loop via "media source" will stutter eventually.
  2. Spotify fed through via "Audio Router" will stutter eventually.
  3. MP3 and Spotify stuttering sound exactly the same.
  4. "Desktop Audio" never seems to stutter, ever.
  5. Stuttering spotify audio via "Audio Router" suddenly no longer stutters when I route Spotify via "Desktop Audio" during a live stream.
Other info:

- I have a few people updating scores via Drop Box, which explains all the Drop Box text files.
- All music files are housed on a separate drive to all the video/static screen files (which suggests it's not an HD issue)

As you guys can imagine, I'm really keen to eliminate this bug, or at least work around it. This choppy music issue is really affecting the overall quality of our productions and we'd really like to have smooth audio in between matches!

Thanks for your help!

Does anyone have any insight to this issue yet?

I'm about to stream HND Gaming's 5th Overwatch tournament (Tomorrow) and it's currently happening on our test stream:

I have tried pretty much everything you can think of to solve this.
