I've got some troubles connecting a mp4 video with open Broadcaster. I'm not reporting it as a bug because it might by my mistake, but here it is : I have a mp4 video that i want to livestream by playing it in loop.
First of all i can't manage to link Media Player or Real Player to a "game capture" item, it just shows a black empty screen. It works with VLC, but the video stops as soon as the video loops for the first time. Maybe VLC is resetting something that gives a 'stop' signal to OBS, but it doesn't stream after that. The log says that the video "ended or changed parameters" (sorry it's not accurate).
I've found a solution for that, but it is quite awkward : I'm using Xsplit to run the video in loop and i branched the video capture item to it : it works fine, but if it is my only solution I'd better use XSplit directly...
Has someone already experienced that ? Am i missing a setting that would solve the problem ? Maybe a 'game capture' is not what i should use to stream VLC, but what else ?
