Question / Help OBS Will Not Finalize Videos

Hello OBS Users,
I recently encountered an issue that has been very annoying to deal with and usually ends in my footage not finalizing. I started doing long recording sessions (1+ hours) and I have found that after I try to stop recording, the button just says "stopping recording" and seems to eternally be on that state. Now it is true that I have been impatient with this error and may have not given it enough time to finalize, but I find this error is very random on which recordings it chooses to do this. Is there a time limit for recordings? Am I just being very impatient? Thanks for helping!

Encoder: H265/HEVC Encoder (AMD Advanced Media Framework)
Audio Tracks: 2
Recording Format: mp4
Quality Preset: Quality
Rate Control Method: Constant Bitrate (CBR)
Pre-Pass Mode: Disabled
Target Bitrate: 12500
Filler Data: Enabled
Keyframe Interval: 2.00
Recording Resolution: 1920 x 1080p

Computer Hardware:
CPU: AMD FX-6300 Six Core
RAM: 12GB DDR3-1600 or 1300 I forget
GPU: AMD Powercolor Red Devil Radeon rx 580 8GB GDDR5 (I think I have the crypto-mining one though, it looks different)

Try to wait at least 30 seconds.

and don't record in MP4, for this very reason, use MKV

hello, something similar happens to me, but with videos of less duration, because it is that in the part of Pre-Pass I get disabled

There is currently a standing issue with AMD's drivers.

And please do not post in 3 year old threads for issues you're currently having.
