Hi, I'm on Windows 7. I stream on Twitch about twice a week but took a two-week break. I didn't touch my setup, which I conveniently launch from shortcuts in my QuickLaunch toolbar, yet today when I opened everything up, I noticed my emulator was running at 20 fps (instead of 60 fps). As soon as I closed OBS, the emulator picked up back to 60 fps. Throughout, OBS takes ~3.5% CPU while the emulator takes ~25% CPU (with or without OBS running).
The only thing that occurred between my last stream and now are a bunch of Windows updates:
And yes, I did try restarting my computer.
Then I tried updating to the latest OBS, v0.14.2. It opened the same Scene Collecion / Scene, and I deleted the previous Game Capture from my scene to start fresh and create a new one. However, upon selecting the emulator's .exe from the dropdown, the emulator crashed! This is reproducible every time, and here's Windows' program-"has stopped working" report:
Here's the end of the log file (full log file attached):
Do you think a Windows Update indeed caused this? The emulator I use is very conservative with changes—I haven't changed a thing since I installed it last year. Meanwhile, OBS, I only installed once, earlier this year, until today's update.
